Two amazing families raised two amazing kids who found eachother and got married.  Needless to say, I CANNOT wait to see the amazing kids and Kevin and Beth Ann raise…because…well…they rock!  Joe and I were so welcomed into their crazy sweet families throughout the entire wedding planning process.  Beth Ann has the most amazing smile and THE sweetest spirit of anyone you will ever meet.  Not once did she ever feel the need to put herself first…even on her wedding day she was incredibly calm and loving to everyone around her.  She puts everyone at ease.  And her Kevin is on the the calmest most relaxed people I have ever gotten to know.  He has the sweetest smile and demeanor…one that I would love for my son’s to resemble someday.  The short amount of time that I have been able to hang with these two has been blessed.  Our lives are richer to be able to now call them friends.  Heck…I knew Joe would love Kevin when the custom boots showed up…on both the bride and the groom.
What an incredible night.  THE most beautiful reception with all handmade with love embroidery and tablescapes.  Beth Ann and Kevin are totally kickin’ and the night was crazy fun…what more could you ask for?

Some of Beth Ann’s memories from the night:

Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?
A. All the small moments with our family – all the intimate moments that no one else probably noticed!

Q. What was one quirky or crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?
A. I had several of my bridesmaids with me and I needed to drop them off at my parents house for their hair & makeup appointments. No one was home because everyone was out and about at other appointments, etc. Apparently my parents changed the locks on the house and forgot to give me another key. So hours before my wedding, in a sundress, I attempted to crawl through the doggie door at my parents house. I got stuck with my head inside and my bottom still outside, until one bridesmaid literally shoved my hips through the door so that I could get inside and let them in the house. It was such a funny moment with my closest friends, and I was laughing so hard I was crying.

Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?
A. Holding Kevin’s hand and listening to the message the priest gave during the ceremony. It was engaging, relevant, and humble. It put the entire day into perspective.

Holy cow…did you see all those amazing details…all hand crafted by an amazing family friend.  INCREDIBLE!

In the words of the bride: -vendor love-
Venue: The Woodlands Resort
Dress designer: Lazaro
Decor designer: A Family Friend
Band: Drywater Band
Bride and grooms shoes: RJ’s Boot Company
Make-up: Your Beautiful Face
DIY elements: The vast majority of the centerpieces and reception decor were done by a family friend. I started collecting bird cages about 7 months before the wedding because I fell in love with them and wanted them at the wedding. (I do not like real-life pet birds however!). I collaborated with my family friend and she was able to create reception decor that fit my personality and I didn’t have to spend a fortune on. I did my own programs, cake toppers, and reception give-aways.
(All of the head table had monogramed napkins, all of the tables had different birdcages with decor, there were interspersed fishing hooks because Kevin LOVES to fish, vases of birdseed and lights as centerpieces, monogrammed stitching adorned the walls…you name it…they did it…BEAUTIFUL!)
Extra touches: I had a blast planning the big day and wouldn’t have changed a single thing about it, including all of my vendors!
