Sarah & Brad -i do, i do-

kelly hornberger wedding

back to blog

The girls hussled and bussled around one of Sarah’s best friend’s homes to get ready.

The boys hurried and scurried around one of the Brad’s best friend’s homes.

They met up at a church in the heights with total dominance of German heritage.

As the bridemaids peaked out the window Sarah & Brad saw the beauty of eachother for the first time that day.

The rest of the day and night was magic.

Their AMAZING friends and family….lots of whom I have been blessed with being a part of their special days too…enveloped them in love and beauty.

The moments…oh the moments…and I had the pleasure of shooting with Wendi Poole by my side, who helped me capture them all.

Sarah and Brad…an honor…100% honor…Joe and I adore yall…thanks again for the blessing of being a part of your amazing day!

Some of Sarah & Brad’s memories from the day:
Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?

A. Having all the people we love come together and celebrate with us.

Q. What was one quirky or crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?

A. Due to a family emergency about 2 hours beforehand, our piano player couldn’t make the ceremony. Fortunately we have plenty of friends who are amazingly gifted players that we could hustle one up on 30 minutes notice and the ceremony music was absolutely beautiful.

Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?

A. We had our first dance outside of our reception venue. We had strung up lots of Christmas lights in the trees overhead, and were completely surrounded by so many people who we love. Even though there were 200 people all watching us dance, it seemed like it was just the two of us.

Q.  Did you do anything yourself?

A. Between ourselves and our family, we made all of the decorations. Probably the most fun was the cake. Sarah and her bridesmaids made hundreds of beautiful and delicious cake balls and cake pops instead of a traditional wedding cake. They were displayed in incredible planters boxes that our family made out of 100 year old wood recovered from an old schoolhouse.

Q. What do you look forward to most about being married?

A. Getting to be with each other every day for the rest of our lives!

Q. Where do you hope you will you be as a couple in five years?

A. Wow, not really sure, but we are certainly open to what the future may hold. We would love to have started a family by then (twins?), and Sarah hopes to still be happily working for Living Water International.
