Fast forward:

“I was sitting on Shanlee’s couch waiting to leave for the birthday dinner.

I thought Shanlee and I were driving to the restaurant together, just the two of us. To my surprise, I was missing one other member of our carpool – Lauren.

I believe Shanlee planned to have Lauren come with us (and not tell me about it) to create a surprise first meeting.

At the time, both Lauren and I knew we were to be ‘set-up’, and this appeared to be a part of the plan.” – Marcel

And today they are getting ready to spend the rest of their lives together.  Might good friends, I would have to say!
