The Trainer’s -i do, i do-

There was not a dry eye in the barn where Trey and his mom did their mother/son dance. Trey’s mom’s one goal was to dance with her son at his wedding and dance with her son she did. It was beautiful.

The whole day was was magical. These two are so loved by all their awesome friends and family. I have been blessed to know Sarah since higschool where we were inseparable. She is one of those people who eventhough you lose contact you never loose a friend. I love that about her. The short amount of time I have gotten to see her and Trey has been awesome. He makes her so happy…they are two of the most laid back people ever. Even up to the day of Trey was writing her his letter while laying on the hammock and Sarah was making a joke out of it. Laughing at life…one of the things many of us forget to do…well, I think Trey and Sarah have that one down.

Some of Sarah & Trey’s memories from the day:
Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?

A. Sarah- two things- one- just finally seeing how everything came together. Me, my mother and several members of my family worked an entire year and seeing it all fall into place was the best feeling ever. two- seeing how many people actually came to celebrate with us and how many people mentioned how much fun they were having. i was amazed and it was the best feeling in the world knowing so many people wanted to be there.

Trey- just having so many of our closest family in friends in one place at one time, having fun. It was a once in a lifetime occasion!

Q. What was one quirky of crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?

A. Sarah- at one point during my vows I started saying them to our officiant, Matt. “Till death to us part, I promise to love you, etc.” Trey whispered “look at me” and I realized I was doing it and said “I feel the same way about you, Matt”.

Trey- when it was Sarah’s turn to say her vows after me, I started reciting those as well. I guess I just wanted to make her extra sure!

Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?

A. Sarah- definitely walking down the aisle…that is the best moment ever- you have your dad on your arm, the love of your life and best friend waiting to marry you, and 200 of your closest friends and family staring at you and smiling!

Trey- seeing Sarah walk down the aisle finally realizing that the moment we had been working towards (getting married) was here, walking into the reception where all of our friends and family waited to see us announced husband and wife and dancing with my mom and the standing ovation she got after our dance- the way everyone in the room came together to suppport her was awesome.

Q. Any special details you would like to tell us about?

A. All decorations were pretty much made and done by family. All of the signs, the silverware holders, and smores sticks were hand made and even our flowers were ordered wholesale and the arrangements made ourselves. Sarah’s mother, aunts and uncles worked ALL day on the day of the wedding decorating the ceremony site and the reception site and it turned out beautiful!!!

Q. Where will you be as a couple in five years? Hopes, dreams, kids, etc.?

A. Hopefully with kids!

Q. What was the one thing you were most excited about your registry? Did you get it and did it live up to the hype?

A. Sarah- my dishes that I registered for. Yes, I got most pieces and I love them. I look at them every day and think, “I really love these.”

Trey- My friends gave me a shot gun that I did not register for and I love it. They gave it to me and said “take care of Sarah.”

Q. What do you look forward to the most about being married?

A. Just slowing life down a bit, having kids, and working on our new house.

What an amazing weekend and a BEAUTIFUL wedding! We love you Ashley & Nikolay! Check out the beauty here, if you want to relive it.

Q. What’s the best thing that has happened to you as a couple since you’ve been married?

A. We backpacked through Europe and Russia for four and half months! It was an awesome honeymoon.
Next best thing was Nik getting a job almost immediately upon arriving in DC, God is GREAT!

Q. What is quirkiest thing that you have learned about each other since you have been married?

A. He likes rose petals in his bath. She snores.

Q. What is the furthest destination you have traveled to together this year and tell us about it.

A. Moscow, Russia; I definitely had culture shock, but the people were amazing and meeting Nik’s parents for the first time in person was so special. While there we also attended a traditional Russian wedding, which was quite an affair! Nik also got us great seats to see the Moscow Ballet, which was my one must see while there.

Q. What is the biggest piece of advice you can offer newly weds?

A. Teamwork, you have to be a team. Also, you can’t forget that you’re friends, it is so important that you remember how to have fun together, and don’t take yourselves too seriously, you have to remember what it is that attracted you to each other at first, and for us it was just that when we were together we were always able to relax and have fun together, and that is what we do now!

Her eyes. Her hair. Her laugh. I die! This girls ROCKS! Paul has found himself such a winner.

And Paul…what a cutie. His calm and collected smile had to be what JJ could not resist.

What a cute couple. With them getting married in Napa later this year, JJ mentioned her sweet friends beautiful antique shop, M Naeve, and we could no longer imagine shooting anywhere else.

We had a great time hunting around the beautiful European antiques and letting JJ & Paul be oh so cute with eachother.

Another couple that I just LOVE…I cannot wait for their sweet day this fall, and to watch them grow through their engagement in the process.

The Noyes’ -i do, i do-

She was a cool calm and collected as any bride could be. She spend the early morning getting her makeup done with her mom and her girls trickled in and out throughout that time. She showed up to the church with her mom and had her hair done in a relaxing quiet. Her mom and her put on her dress and she touched up her lipstick.

It was just want Brittany wanted.

The boys spent the morning hanging out and then getting to the church on time to find out they had some fashion malfunctions. Nothing a last minute tailor couldn’t fix. They spent most of the time hanging out in their shirts, ties, coats, sox & boxers while waiting for their pants to be mended.

Everything worked out perfectly though and the rest of the day was amazing.

Brittany walked with her sweet dad down the red carpeted aisle to her sweet Kyle. From one sweet man to another.

The party continued onto the Hotel ZaZa with awesome friends and family and lots of green garb to ring in the St. Patty’s Day!

Brittany and Kyle…it was a PLEASURE being there with you guys. Joe and I had a GREAT time!! THANK YOU for being so amazing and inviting. It was a perfect night, one that marks the beginning of something amazing!

Some of Brittany & Kyle’s memories from the day:
Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?

A. Brittany – EVERYTHING! It was easily the best weekend of my life to date! We wanted our wedding to be different and one big celebration. Kyle and I are both big music people – our gospel group at the church was amazing and our band at the reception was THE best!! The dancing, the music, the food, tiny boxwood chocolate chip cookies, the flowers, late night whataburger taquitos, sharing it all with our friends and family….and most importantly, getting to marry my best friend and taking it all in and enjoying every moment together.

Kyle – seeing all of our friends and family jumping around and dancing at the end of the night. Well, that and seeing Brittany walk down the aisle with her Dad looking totally gorgeous and having that big wonderful smile on her face!

Q. What was one quirky of crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?

A. Brittany – Kyle’s groomsman & ushers had a wardrobe malfunction, which they realized about 45 min. before the ceremony started…and I am SO glad he waited to tell me until afterwards. He will share…

Kyle – all of the rental tuxes came without buttons on the pants for the suspenders. Jos a bank had to send tailors to the church to sew buttons on. Funniest part was having all the groomsmen standing around in their undies while their pants were getting fixed.

Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?

A. Brittany – There were so many! It was such a special moment when the back of the sanctuary doors opened at the church, I saw Kyle for the first time and having my dad walk me down the isle. Our ceremony was personal and perfect. There was such a strong spiritual bond with Kyle and I during the entire service. I felt like it was just him and I in the sanctuary and it was comfortable and felt so right. Two other moments stand out to me: 1.) when we said the Lord’s Prayers together for the first time as a married couple and 2.) during the last song at the end of our reception, Kyle and I were at the front of the dance floor and we stopped, looked back behind us and saw all our friends and family jumping in unison (to the song “Jump”) with all their St. Patty’s gear on – it was hilarious and evident that everyone was having a blast! Exactly how I wanted it to be!

Kyle – Holding Brittany’s hand and standing in front of all of our friends and family while the pastor shared our very intimate remarks about each other.

Q. Where will you be as a couple in five years? Hopes, dreams, kids, etc.?

A. Well, our five year plan is to finish up our commitment in The Woodlands and be prepared to move to one of our favorite cities like Denver or Austin, have at least 2 kids, plan to be participating in charitable/community outreach programs, be involved in our church, travel to places we haven’t been before and we want to learn from each other, grow together as a couple/family and love each other more and more each day…..and on our 5th year anniversary we want to re-visit one of the most beautiful places we’ve seen and go back to Bora Bora (our honeymoon destination)

Q. What do you look forward to the most about being married?

A. Brittany – The adventure! Kyle makes me want to be a better person and I feel such comfort in knowing that I get to share all of life’s moments with him. I’m truly looking forward to the exciting life we will have together.

Kyle – mostly to growing as a person and growing in our relationship. I want to be the best husband and father that I can be and I hope to live up to the example my father has set for me and be the man that God wants me to be! I know that with Brittany’s love and support, I will make that happen!

HAPPY 1st Anniversary Breann & Jay!!!

Q. What’s the best thing that has happened to you as a couple since you’ve been married?

A. Spending the entire day walking around Stirling, Scotland together!! We were blessed with beautiful weather, got lost, laughed, took TONS of pictures, and got to yell “FREEDOM!!!” from the top of Stirling Bridge! (Think William Wallace, a.k.a. ‘Braveheart’.) Bucket list item #7 – check.

Q. What is quirkiest thing that you have learned about each other since you have been married?

A. Jay: Breann is very bad at loading a dishwasher.
Breann: Jay is very particular about how to load a dishwasher.

Q. What is the furthest destination you have traveled to together this year and tell us about it.

A. Technically, Venice, Italy – we went to explore the city and attend the Venice Biennale with friends. However, we have lived in Scotland since September while I’ve been getting my Master’s and that has been a wonderful experience on its own!

Q. What is the biggest piece of advice you can offer newly weds?

A. Pray and have patience with each other! Not everything is about ‘winning’. Thanks, Charlie Sheen.

The Rodriguez’s -i do, i do-

The day was supposed to be a day worthy of a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony. The clouds rolled in and the rain fell

This did not dampen the amazing spirits of Amanda and Celestino. These two have a love of life that is totally contagious. They were more worried about everyone else around them every moment leading up to the ceremony. Celestino wrote words to Amanda AND her bridesmaids that brought everyone in the room to tears before the walk down the aisle. There is not one ounce of selfishness in either of them.

It was an incredible honor for me and Claire to be there. To witness an incredible start of a sweet marriage. We had an amazing time with all the munchkins running around and both incredible families that were present.

Some of Amanda & Celestino’s memories from the day:

Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?

A. Seeing 14 months of planning come together into our absolute dream wedding, and getting to spend the perfect night with all of our friends and family!

Q. What was one quirky of crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?

A I’m pretty sure the booty-shaking contest on the dance floor was not expected but so funny!

Also- Cele broke the rental car key on the morning of the wedding, and we had to get the car towed before our hair appointments! But, it all worked out and it gave us an excuse to talk to each other before the wedding

For the entire week before the wedding, I stalked Weather.com all day, every day. We were supposed to have a beautiful outdoor sunset wedding, and the thought of taking it inside was definitely a last resort. At around 4:45 pm the day of the wedding, we had to make the call to move it inside… but I wouldn’t change a thing now.

It was absolutely the most amazing, gorgeous wedding I could have ever hoped for, and every quirk and mishap that happened that day just made it even more special- it was OUR day, and that’s all that could ever matter!

Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?

A. Seeing Cele at the other end of the aisle. I had imagined what his face would look like when we saw each other for the first time, but when we saw each other it was so much better than I could have imagined!

Saying our vows was also very special. I didn’t think I’d cry during the ceremony, but one line into our vows and I couldn’t help but get choked up.

Q. Any special details you would like to tell us about?

A. Cele designed all of the save the dates, invitations, programs and table numbers. They were beautiful and he made sure it was exactly what we envisioned.

My mom, Maid of Honor and sister helped us put together the flip flop baskets, chalkboard signs and favors.

All of the centerpieces were wine bottles and corks that my Mom, MOH and bridesmaid had saved for us throughout our engagement.

One of my bridesmaids, Jess, helped me put together our guestbook and ring bearers’ boxes.

My cousin Rebecca helped us plan everything and was so super helpful as our coordinator throughout the whole process, since we were planning the wedding from Atlanta. I can’t thank her enough!

Q. Where will you be as a couple in five years? Hopes, dreams, kids, etc.?

A. Definitely at least one or two little ones! We both love kids and love spending time with our nephews, so it’s a pretty obvious next step for us.

Q. What do you look forward to the most about being married?

A. Just being us and growing as a family. As we said in our vows: promising to love each other more tomorrow than we do today. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us!

They met during orientation week at Rice University. They played intermurals and ran in close circles, but were in different stages of their lives and became close friends.
“In the beginning of the fall semester of my sophomore year, Kate was sitting outside the Brochstein pavilion one afternoon. We had yet to really catch-up so I decided to go over and sit-down…we talked for an hour or so and I remember thinking to myself “Wow, this girl is amazing, I want to date her.” I was driving back to my apartment that night and I called my brother and told him about her and how I was going to ask her out…3 years later I asked her to marry me.” – Sam
