What a week it has been.  Talk about some major spiritual warfare happening in the Hornberger household this week.  Joe is doing some incredible mission work all next week with some incredible Rice kiddos, and we both feel that because of that this week has been a major test in our faith and that Satan has done a really good job of attacking.  After Joe totaled his 4 Runner earlier this week we began to wonder was going on…then after a nuts-o week and a cap off of an ER visit with Holt last night Joe has been put through the ringer and I am so thankful that his faith has persevered.  The faith of our family has not always been strong the days of this week, but I think the key word we are clinging to these days is that it has persevered and for that I am thankful.

At the end of the day we are still so stinkin’ blessed.  Joe gets to take a group of Rice kids and show the love of Christ to so many in need.  I know satan sure would have loved to have stopped that and he sure did put of a fight.  But, hallelujah God is good and we give Him praise that through this rough week we have been able to see Him do a work in us to re-focus.  To be thankful in all situations and to be even more excited to show His love.
