I honestly do not think there is ANY way I could be any more behind on blogging than I am these days. Holy Cow! I feel so ashamed to not have gotten you awesome couples up and your amazing stories shared…hope y’all forgive me. Part of it has to do with publications and the other part of it has to do with the fact that things are just hectic in our house these days…imagine that?!? But I would be lying if I EVER told you that I am not 100% filled with joy throughout the stress. I am so blessed. How could I EVER not be thankful for the fact that I have been busy…I am so stinkin’ thankful for all of you, my incredible clients and friends. THANK YOU for making my head spin! Thank you for your flexibility. Thank you for your patience. And most of all, thank you for the amazing privilege of spending my time with each of you and your sweet families!
I am hoping to get back on track after Spring Break. Turns out that is an amazing time to cram as many sessions in as possible. HEHE. But I did just want to take a moment to show of some family fun from this weekend and maybe inspire some of yall out there.
This past Saturday night Joe and I decided to start hosting a quarterly “date night” for some awesome couples that we love. The PERFECT excuse to get out of the house with our spouse and just enjoy other couples and drink some wine. Yumm.
So, in pure Kelly fashion, I whipped out the fancy paper plates, Styrofoam cups + plastic utensils! Everyone came over after the minions were in bed and each couple created their own pizza.
We had an amazing time laughing, talking and solving the problems of the world.
That afternoon I put on my “creative” hat and was able to put this together:
A bag of flowers from the local HEB divided up into three different vases. Glass cokes…what could be better. Arranged in a row, with one drunk already, of course…and the cardboard container now holding utensils and napkins.
Amazingly BEAUTIFUL and yummy cake made by Liana with Sugar Art Cakes. Check her out here…she is incredible…you all HAVE to give her a call for ANY cake need!
My adorable little “helper”: Brock
And, of course…my part-ay shoes!
It was an evening that lasted WAY too late, especially with the time change…but it could not have been any more awesome. We all needed it so bad!
The rest of the weekend involved work on Sunday followed by a surprise blessing from Joe of a 24hour get away in town to Hotel ZaZa and a whole next day to date my main man. It could not have come at a more perfect time. I can honestly say that I have not taken any time for me without ANY work lately…so this was an incredibly blessed time for us. God is so good when he invented rest…I sure wish and pray that I can remember this more often!
