So, yes, LAST MONTH our Brock turned 2.  And boy did we have some fun.  Complete with a super-duper monkey themed party.  We, ok maybe just I, had so much fun planning it and putting all the ideas together I just had to take a breather to show them off and maybe inspire y’all for your next monkey party.
The afternoon was complete with a faux-photobooth (an idea I have gotten from many others in the photo industry).  The kids, AND THE PARENTS, had a great time.  Everyone cycled through at least once, it was awesome.  (those of you in attendance, your photos will be arriving soon!!)

Lots of monkey snacks kept everyone well fed.
food tags all printed and designed by me and held on by clothes pins.  Snacks included:
monkey mix (banana chips, chocolate chips, butter scotch chips & peanuts), popcorn, vanilla wafers + LOTS of red candies
Banner made by awesome Callie.
decor: banana’s and monkey socks…all from our house!

tie on monkey tails were worn by all the adults at first.  I was a little bummed that the kids were not too excited about it…but they caught on to “the fun” after a while and we were rollin’ in the monkey tail madness!
I also found monkey bags for the favors.  Both the tails and the bags are from House 8810.  SO FUN, you have the check them out!

My dad helped us crack coconuts in half (on the street curb) and we made chocolate banana smoothies and drank them out of coconut shells…HUGE HIT!

It was an awesome afternoon.  We are so thankful for all the help and for everyone who came out.  It totally rocked…Brock is a loved little boy!!
Feel free to check out the family site for all the rest of the crazy pics!! (they’re sure to make you laugh!)
