So here’s a fun fact about me, I do improv. Improv is that thing you have seen on “Whose Line is it Anyway.” I do improv at ComedySportz Houston, if you haven’t been it is tons of fun and if you are a reader from afar ComedySportz is all over the world but you should still come to the one in Houston and see me perform (shameless plug – I will be there the next two Fridays). Every year there is a “world wide” tournament, which is basically like summer improv camp. This year it was in Indianapolis, IN where I met Brendan Fraser. No really I did, but we’ll save that for another post.

If you ever want to go somewhere cooler in the summer months, don’t go to Indianapolis. It was hot hot hot and they just don’t work the air conditioners like we do in Texas! On the last night the heat was getting to me so I had to take a nap. The last night is always the best because we celebrate the week and say long goodbyes to all of our friends. When I woke up I went downstairs and was quickly approached by Jon Colby “hey do you know the words to Soul Sister by Train?” I thought that was a weird question so of course I said yes and asked why and Jon explained that Tim was about to propose to Jenny. I grabbed my camera and big group of people started singing “Hey, Soul Sister” and crowded around Jenny and before she could figure out what was going on Tim was on one knee and they were engaged.

I would say the heat in Indy was all worth it…not too shabby witnessed a proposal and met Brendan Fraser all in a couple of days. Leave a comment about your favorite adventure from this summer and we will send you two tickets to ComedySportz and you can even pick your city!
