The Road to KHP The Series (Claire)

So Claire wrote this amazing blog…but I wanted to just say a few quick words on it before yall get into it all.  A lot of things are happing around here that are just rocking our socks off.  We are so stinkin’ thankful for the incredible support, love and amazing clients that we have worked with in the past 3-4 years!  We are currently almost done with an awesome new rebranding as well as some major changes to the look which fits more of our personality here at KHP.
Claire is also about to take on an awesome new major role within the KHP umbrella that we will be unveiling later this year.  I am so sorry to be so secretive, we are still sorting things out around here, but wanted to give yall a heads up to get excited and to encourage us on the journey.  So, because of all these upcoming changes we thought we would start filling you all in on the journey.  We are not going all the way back to the beginning of Kelly, but merely to the beginning of Claire and how she got to here.
All I know is that Claire is a 100% God-sent in my life and in the whole direction now of KHP.  I am so stinkin’ thankful for her and her amazing spirit…I cannot even wait to jump ahead and move on with all the amazing ideas we have brewing…to be better for you all, our clients, and more importantly to keep blessing those around us…and NEVER losing sight of the reason we got here to begin with!

So without further adieu….here’s our AMAZING Claire!

Hey all, Claire here…and we are going to go around the room or the blog I should say and tell you a little bit about our journey to KHP.

Long story short my father got sick and passed away in 2008 and I kind of up and left everything including my job in non-profit fundraising behind to fight a battle I knew I wouldn’t win. After he passed away I was left with a desire to make every second count. Do things I love, spend time with family, get to know my passion and really live it up! As anyone that has set this goal before them knows it isn’t easy. It was a struggle and took a lot of prayer.

Late one night I was blog stalking. You know reading a friends blog who linked to a friend of friends blog with a list of blogs she follows. After a series of clicks I came across Kelly’s blog and she happened to be looking for an assistant as Callie was headed to the Big Apple. This was November of last year. I sent my information to her on a whim not thinking I would ever hear back. I didn’t hear back…until January. Kelly asked me to come in and and anyone who has ever had a sit down with Kelly knows that she gets you to tell her your life story in about six minutes. So after my life story, a brief meeting and a few harassing emails I sent her way I was asked to start on Monday. YIPPEEE!

The rest of the story is a whirlwind of fun. I feel like I grow a little each day in my position at KHP, whether it is a new skill or trick or just a meaningful conversation with a client or even a play break with the Hornberger 3.

I feel like God really knew what he was doing when he led me to Kelly! I have learned so much about the business of photography but she’s also been a huge inspiration in faith, which was much needed in my life. I am blessed!
