The whole morning was so chill.  Claire and I met up with Ashley, her family and all her amazing friends at Ashley’s beautiful parent’s home on the lake.  We enjoyed hair, makeup, football, newborn twin nieces & nephews and lots of smiles, laughter and some happy tears.  Ashley looked INCREDIBLE.  She was so calm.  Her smile could not be removed from her face.  She was about to marry her Eric.
LOTS of emotions play into the wedding day.  You never know what might come out…and eventhough everything seemed smooth within just moments and RIGHT before Ashley was about to walk down the aisle her and her mom had a moment, one that only they will remember, as well as a sweet moment with her dad before the doors opened.  I love that.  I love that what may have seemed like something that could have thrown off the timing or make people wonder was actually something that the bride, her groom and closest friends and family will only know about and something that will forever make those moments all the more lifelike in their memories.

Claire and I were honored to be there to document the sweet day of Ashley & Eric…from the amazing spirit of the two of them to the never before seen dancing from their family members…it was a night to remember and one that we are SO blessed to have been a part of throughout.

Some of Ashley & Eric’s memories from the day:

Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?

A. Besides the whole DAY–The calm I felt once I actually started walking down the aisle. And seeing our parents cutting it up on the dance floor at the reception! Priceless!

Q. What was one quirky of crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?
A.Realizing the rings were on the bus that was driving away–those weren’t THAT important, right?!:)

Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?
A. Turning around after the ceremony and seeing all of our family and friends and FINALLY being announced as Mr. and Mrs.! We’ve been waiting a lot of years to hear those words!
Another special moment for me were those few minutes I had with my dad right before the doors opened–such a sweet moment.

Q. What do you look forward to the most about being married?
A. Putting away the craziness of actually planning the wedding, and getting to back to our “new” normal! We’re looking forward to traveling, starting a family (eventually!), and getting closer each and every day!
