Q. What’s the best thing that has happened to you as a couple since you’ve been married?

A. Recently, we have been trying for a baby. The entire process of picking out baby names, reading all of the pregnancy books together and discussing what type of parents we’ll be, is exciting and has brought us even closer together.

Q. What is quirkiest thing that you have learned about each other since you have been married?

A. I know it sounds weird but we have both realized that we don’t like to wear our wedding rings! We love each other, of course but we’re just not “ring” people!  Chris has never liked jewelry but also, since he works in construction, he is constantly taking off his ring so that it stays nice. I, on the other hand, enjoy wearing jewelry but have always preferred earrings or necklaces. I find it challenging to always have it on.

Q. What is the furthest destination you have traveled to together this year and tell us about it.

A. We had many changes in our life, after our wedding and made the choice to move to Florida to stay with Chris’s parents. That meant packing our belongings, our three cats and ourselves into our car and pull-behind trailer and making our way from Houston, Texas to Fort Myers, FL. Besides going 50 miles and hour the ENTIRE way,we had to make an emergency vet trip due to our sick cat and then our car broke down on the highway; it turned out to be a slow and costly 8 day journey.

Q. What is the biggest piece of advice you can offer newly weds?

A. Be supportive and understanding of each other. When everything else is crumbling around you, sometimes your “other” is all you have steady to grab onto. You need to be able to rely on and encourage each other.

Be sure and relive their sweet day here.
