I adore this simply sweet, easy-peasy couple…What a great first year you guys…here’s to the MANY more to come…and HUGE adventures you have in store!

Q. What’s the best thing that has happened to you as a couple since you’ve been married?

A. We really enjoyed just being able to live together and blend our lives this year. We love just being able to spend time together that we didn’t have before and getting to know each other on a different level. The biggest thing that has happened was a little surprise that we are expecting in April. It’s been a big adjustment to think of going from a family of two to a family of three, but we are ecstatic to become parents!

A. Amanda:Nathan loves to make up songs and dance for our two dogs. I appreciate his lack of shame to make me laugh ( and for our dogs to wonder what the heck is going on)
Nathan: Amanda rarely finishes anything she drinks. She will always leave a little in the bottom of the cup. Usually, I just finish it off for her.

A. We took a road trip through California and Colorado this past summer. We traveled the coast in Big Sur, camped and hiked in Yosemite, took a bike tour through the vineyards of Napa, and made homemade apple juice from an orchard in Colorado. We met up with and stayed with some old friends in some locations along the way. Some of the trip was well planned and some, we just flew “by the seat of our pants”. It seems to make it more of an adventure that way.

Q. What is the biggest piece of advice you can offer newly weds?

A. Travel anytime you can. The memories you create from traveling is worth more than anything you can buy.
Also, time flies in that first year of marriage so enjoy every day together even in the simple things like cooking dinner. The first anniversary come very fast!
