Elyse & Andre -i do, i do-

kelly hornberger wedding

There is something so magical about home.  Home truly is where the heart is.  Elyse grew up in a home with rolling hills and rolling memories…only the PERFECT place to start getting ready for the next amazing chapter in her life.

As she and her family and sweet friends got ready upstairs, Andre and his awesome boys all got ready downstairs.

He waited for his love amongst the falling yellow leaves.

She gracefully walked up, tapped him on the shoulder, and the rest of the night was magic.

The beauty of the sun shinning through the trees created their glow.  The leaves gently fell…the sound of the breeze wrapped around them so perfectly.  It was simply moving.

Claire and I had an INCREDIBLE time getting to be amongst these families…it was an absolute honor…we love Elyse & Andre…

Some of Elyse & Andre’s memories from the day:
Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?

A. It might sound cliche, but our favorite part about our wedding really was just being surrounded by our friends and family. It was wonderful to have everyone come together and celebrate with us.

Q. What was one quirky or crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?

A. The diamond in Elyse’s engagement ring fell out at the rehearsal dinner. Luckily, after a few moments of panic, Andre found it sparkling on the floor.

Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?

A. Throughout our engagement, Andre and I bought each other leather journals where we wrote letters to each other and shared our hopes and plans for our future together. Our most special moment of the day was when we were finally able to read the sweet words to each other.

Q.  Did you do anything yourself?

A. We did the programs ourselves. Elyse ordered the blank letter pressed invitations from Hello Lucky, but designed and printed them herself. Elyse made the ring bowl that the ring bearer carried down the isle. Now, we use it to hold our rings at night.

Q. What do you look forward to most about being married?

A. Now that we’re no longer living in separate parts of the state, we love just being able to spend time together.

Q. Where do you hope you will you be as a couple in five years?

A. In the next five years we hope to continue to the grow closer as a couple and strengthen the commitment we made to each other on our wedding day. Oh, and maybe get a puppy… or a baby. We’re flexible.
