All morning it rained. But Emily had faith and the outdoor wedding ceremony was still put in play. JUST in time the clouds parted and the most beautiful wedding ceremony took place on the front lawn of The Houstonian. A ceremony that Stan and Emily will never forget. One graced with BEAUTIFUL flowers, HUGE smiles and a BEAUTIFUL bride and her DAPPER groom waiting at the end of the aisle.
Emily and Stan are an incredible couple. One that Joe and I seriously adore now that we have been able to get to know them AND their incredible families. Emily radiated beauty…yes Emily is beautiful, but not only that she just glowed with excitement to get to marry her Stan. It was so awesome to be around. Stan was calm and collected, just like I have always seen him, but could not help but tear up as he saw his beautiful bride gracefully walking towards him.
The sun shown perfect, the breeze blew just right, the ceremony went off without a hitch and we danced late into the night celebrating the love these two show so easily.
Some of Stan & Emily’s memories from the day:
Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?
A. This is definitely a tough one. The entire weekend was a blast, but I would have to say my favorite part about the wedding was the ceremony and seeing my best friend at the end of the aisle.
Q. What was one quirky or crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?
A. Thankfully everything went really smooth except for the sole of my dad’s shoe broke right before we were about to walk out, but with the help of the Houstonian staff, our wonderful wedding coordinators and some super glue it was all fixed.
Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?
A. The most special moment of the day was when the Rabbi pronounced us husband and wife and we walked down the aisle together as Mr. and Mrs. Raines. I knew that I was holding the hand of my best friend and soulmate for the rest of our lives.
.Q. What do you look forward to most about being married?
A. I look forward to walking through life and every journey that it puts up through together. Learning more and more about each other every day and knowing that we are each others forever love.
Q. Where do you hope you will you be as a couple in five years?
A. In 5 years we have hopefully traveled to some neat places and started our family with some kiddos. Stan would love to also have a border collie so that might be in our future.
