Friends and family. That about sums up the meaning of happiness for Heather & Carter.
The entire morning was all about the love for the beautiful people around them and the thankfulness they had for them all being their to celebrate.
The entire day was graced by the omen of good luck on your wedding day, rain. It was a beautiful rain though. One that allowed us to not get too wet, to have beautifully magnificent light and one that cooled off the ground just a tad. A perfect ceremony that reflected the love these two have for God and eachother. The reception then included every kid that every guest had and they had a BLAST cutting a rug on the dance floor. It was perfection. A perfect distraction for the mischief that was happening to Carter’s car outside.
Thanks you two! Joe and I had a perfect time. Here’s to the next blissful year of your lives!
Some of Carter & Heather’s memories from the day:
Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?
A. I think our goal for the ceremony was to convey that our relationship with God was at the center of our relationship with each other. We hoped that would come through as each pastor delivered his part of the ceremony and as Zeke sang. We got some feedback that the ceremony did communicated that so it gave us a sense of accomplishment beyond the exciting commitment we were making with each other.
Q. What was one quirky or crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?
A. It became pretty clear early on that getting the two flower girls and the ring bearer down the aisle in a somewhat organized fashion was going to be a challenge. In the end, they all held hands and made the trip together. It was cute and logistically effective.
Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?
A. After lighting the unity candle and during the song Zeke sang, we had a few minutes to pray together. We felt blessed that in this venue with lots of people and with lots of structure that we had this moment of solitude to share. It really felt we were kicking off our married life the right way.
Q. What do you look forward to most about being married?
A. In some ways being married has made our life simpler. We have more natural time together and that makes the relationship richer. We’ve already been our first mission trip together and it’s wonderful to do something as married couple that I had done alone as a single person for many years. I think most of all we look forward to being a family of 3 or more.
Q. Where do you hope you will you be as a couple in five years?
A. First, our dream is to be a family. That means kids when God blesses us with them. Second, we want to be a family that honors Christ in all that we do. Third, we want to be a family on the go. Vacations, missions, local adventures, etc. We want to go places and reflect the love of Jesus Christ as we do it.
