Steven & Callie -i do, i do-

kelly hornberger wedding

back to blog

A BEAUTIFUL bride.  A HANDSOME groom…man I cannot wait to see what these babies look like someday!!

I LOVE me some Callie & Steven.  From the moment we talked on the phone Callie was an instant friend.  I adore her and the incredible family that she comes from.

When I finally got to meet sweet Steven and hear their story it was even more of a pleasure to witness their marriage and to be a part of the journey to it.

It was a beautifully hot day in Texas, but no one cared…all in attendance made it out in honor and attendance for the amazing couple that is now Mr. & Mrs. Alford!

Some of Callie & Steven’s memories from the day:
Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?

   A. Our favorite part was doing the “first-look”. It was such a special moment getting to have a few moments with just the two of us. It really helped calm a lot of nerves and made us more relaxed and ready for the rest of the day!

  Q. What was one quirky or crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?

  A. I loved how my sweet husband grabbed my guarder off by his teeth before the guarder toss, and when him and I busted out with our best moves to “Blurred Lines”, our wedding party and parents are some great dancers as well!!  My bridesmaids and I had the best time getting ready the day of the wedding. We all wanted to pile on the bed and get Kelly to take a picture of us all on there. We must have been a little over the weight limit for that bed because the entire bottom feel out and we broke the bed. I think all of us, including Kelly, laughed till we were in tears, it was a great moment and memory that day!

  Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?

    A. Even though Steven and I had seen each other before the wedding ceremony, the walk down the aisle was so special. It was the most incredible feeling for us both. The entire day was so special getting to be surrounded by the people we love the most celebrating our new life together.

Q. Did you do anything yourself?

A. I created a special memory table for my grandpa and Steven’s grandpa who both have passed away. We adored and loved our grandpa’s very very much and wanted them to be remembered and apart of our special day.

  Q. What do you look forward to most about being married?

  A. It’s such an exciting feeling knowing that you get to experience life with the one you love. We look forward to many years of laughter, love, and starting a family. Being married builds a strong foundation for starting a family and we can’t wait to do that!

 Q. Where do you hope you will you be as a couple in five years?

 A. In 5 years we plan on beginning a family or adding on to our family. Steven and I both share a love for children and can’t wait to start having our own! We want our marriage to follow in the footsteps of our parents and have many, many years of happiness just as they do!
