Jordan and Jonathan

 

I met up with Jordan and Jonathan for their summer engagement session in Aspen, Colorado! There’s nothing like summer in Colorado when the mountains come alive and everything has bloomed. Aspen is such a special place to Jordan and Jonathan that they had a fall wedding in Aspen the following year. 

Engagement Session in Aspen Colorado

The first part of their engagement session we met up just outside of town at the music tent.  I LOVE shooting at the music tent, with areas of manicured grass and beautiful aspens, mixed with areas of overgrown brush and flowing creeks.  It’s absolutely magical.  Then for the second half of Jordan and Jonathan’s engagement photos in Aspen, we went to one of my favorite locations with mountain top views. They played in a grassy meadow with views of Maroon Bells in the background. It is an incredible spot!  One of my favorite spots on the Wood Creek bike trail.

I loved the timeless outfits that both Jordan and Jonathan wore for their session. Their first outfit choices had earthy colors which always look great in photos and especially in a location with lots of green! Their white engagement outfits were a neutral option that allowed them to stand out against the vibrant green and bright summer colors of the mountains. Outfit choices can make a huge difference in the look and feel of your engagement photos. Jordan and Jonathan couldn’t have done better! 

Colorado is my happy place and Aspen is always the spot we hit several times a year, being able to be in Aspen with these two for their engagement session was so perfect!
