Morgan and Patrick’s summer wedding at the Austin Country Club was insane in the best way! Verve Events seamlessly incorporated this U.T. couple’s love of the longhorns and Morgan’s vision of sunset pink and orange colors, throughout every detail of their day!
Getting Ready at the Commodore Perry Estate
On their wedding day, the couple spent the morning getting ready with their bridal party at The Commodore Perry Estate. Morgan had always envisioned herself in a “Disney princess gown” and she was able to find the perfect dress! Looking back, Morgan says she loved how she felt in her dress on her wedding day!
For their ceremony Patrick wore a traditional black suit jacket with tux studs from his great grandfather. He changed into an ivory dinner jacket for the reception. Morgan loves that they were able to get photos with both looks!
Before their ceremony at Tarrytown United Methodist Church, the only communication between Morgan and Patrick was letters they exchanged. They saw each other for the first time walking down the aisle. Morgan said the moment walking down the aisle and seeing Patrick gave her butterflies! For Patrick, watching Morgan walk down the aisle is a moment he’ll never forget!
Wedding Reception at Austin Country Club
After their ceremony, everyone made their way to the Austin Country Club for cocktail hour and the reception. We took Morgan and Patrick’s portraits outside while the sun was setting along the river with Pennybacker Bridge in the background. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour outside with drinks in hand and time to explore the unique spaces that had been transformed inside the club.
A unique feature of Morgan and Patrick’s reception were the two dance floors in two different spaces. Their first dance took outside place under a canopy of elegant twinkling lights with friends and family surrounding the dance floor. After fireworks at 10 p.m., Morgan and Patrick led guests inside to keep the party going! Beneath a cloud cover of white balloons the dance floor stayed full! They ended their night with one last dance together beneath the balloons and then headed outside for a sparkler send off!
