Julie & Ted
Cherry blossoms infused Julie and Ted’s wedding at the Houston Country Club. These two met in D.C. and wanted to honor their favorite place by incorporating cherry blossoms into their day. Belle Events and Blooming Gallery took the pink blooms and the tree branches they were inspired by and seamlessly incorporated them into all of the colors and decor!
Cherry Blossom Inspired Wedding
The morning of their wedding Ted and his groomsmen started the day with a game of golf at HCC. Meanwhile Julie and her bridesmaids wearing matching pink pajama sets, had started getting ready at the country club.
Once they were ready, Julie and Ted did their first look. If you’re debating whether to do a first look or not Julie says, “Do a first look, it helps with nerves and getting pictures before the ceremony!” And Julie is 100% right about that. We were able to take most of their photos like wedding party, family, and Julie and Ted’ portraits before the ceremony began. It was a bit breezy during their wedding portraits, so we had some fun with Julie’s veil!
The ceremony was inside the Houston Country Club and featured a gorgeous arch filled with white cherry blossoms. As “Somewhere over the Rainbow” played, Julie and her father walked down the aisle to Ted. This was one of Julie’s favorite moments from their day!
Wedding at the Houston Country Club
During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed the couple’s specialty cocktails: a dirty martini and espresso martini. In the reception ballroom, tall centerpieces filled with variations of white flowers and cherry blossoms decorated the reception tables surrounded by the warm glow of candles. The groom’s cake was of the U.S. Capitol and the replica Susies Cakes created in cake form was incredible to see!
Once the formalities were done, the Complete Desire band had everyone moving on the dance floor! Julie and Ted’s guests kept the energy high and dance floor full! Before their exit, Julie and Ted had a few moments to themselves on the dance floor. Guests tossed flower petals on them as they made their grand exit from the Houston Country Club and drove away!
