Engagement Session at Memorial Park Eastern Glades in Houston

For Katherine and Paul’s engagement session we went to the Eastern Glades in Memorial Park! My photography team, The KHP Collective, photographed Katherine and Pauls’ engagement session and will photograph their wedding later this year!

Katherine and Paul met in 2020 and spent several weekends going between Austin and College Station to see each other. In 2022 Paul proposed to Katherine on Christmas Day and they celebrated with both of their families!

Katherine and Paul now live in Houston, so we did their engagement photos at Memorial Park. Memorial Park is huge and has several gorgeous locations for photos such as the Houston Arboretum. The Eastern Glades section of the park was opened a few years ago and is where we met for Katherine and Paul’s session. We walked along winding trails through the trees and on the boardwalk by Hines Lake. We ended their session at Live Oak Court where you can usually grab a bite from local food trucks.

Tips to Include Your Dogs in Engagement Photos

Katherine and Paul wanted to include their two dogs into their engagement photos and we are all for it! When it comes to including pets into an engagement session, it’s always best to plan ahead and to include them for a short amount of time! I always recommend having someone who can bring the dogs to you at a certain time or have someone there who can take your dogs for a walk and be with them while we do the rest of the session! Trust me, it’s a pain to be managing leashes and your dogs while trying to take photos. For Katherine and Paul’s session we did photos with their dogs at the every end and it worked out perfect!

Katherine and Paul are getting married this December at the Houstonian and we can’t wait!! They’re working with Krista at Belle Events, so we know it will be an incredible day!
