Sami and Andrew’s December 30th wedding at The Astorian in Houston was a high note to end 2023 on! Claire and Deji of the KHP Collective team photographed their wedding day!
Wedding at The AstorianÂ
The morning of the wedding Sami, Andrew, and their wedding party all got ready at the venue. The Astorian has beautiful getting ready spaces for both the bride (Soho Suite) and the groom (Lexington Lounge)!  Â
They did their first look outside of the venue and had a few quiet moments to take it all in. Next, everyone headed to Christ the King Presbyterian Church for the ceremony.Â
Getting Married at The Astorian in Houston
Sami and Andrew wanted their wedding to be moody, romantic and inviting, so The Astorian in downtown Houston was the perfect wedding venue for them! The Astorian was inspired by 1920s Art Deco design and New York City’s Grand Central Station, and walking through the doors of the venue is breathtaking.
J Low Events and Jackie Trejo Floral brought the couple’s vision to life with sophisticated white florals on the tables and throughout the room, and the glow of candlelight to create an intimate feeling. Dreamy clouds of baby’s breath hovered over the dance floor and were one of Sami’s favorite details. It fulfilled Sami and Andrew’s goal of having one statement piece and it easily made the dance floor the focal point for the night!
One of the most thoughtful details from their wedding day was their escort card display. Sami and Andrew wrote personalized notes to all their guests on vintage postcards. They were so grateful to everyone who came to celebrate and wanted to let them know how important they were to them. Now that’s one impressive way to make your guest feel special and welcome!
After the formal reception events, the party really took off and everyone was on the dance floor! Feather boas, light up cowboy hats, and custom baseball caps were passed around the dance floor and enjoyed by everyone! As the night came to a close, Sami and Andrew shared a private dance and then made their grand exit!Â
