Suzette and Dominic
Omni Barton Creek Wedding in Austin, TX
The hill country of Texas is truly a magical place any time of year, but we are still swooning over this gorgeous Omni Barton Creek wedding last fall in Austin.
Suzette and Dominic are such a special couple and we were so honored to be part of the amazing weekend that their planner, Madison Didier of Pearl Events Austin, helped them create!
Inspiration and Style
Suzette is a traditional person and knew she wanted white as the base color for all of the florals. She also has a glamorous and chic side she wanted to express, which led her to choose gold accents with candles in the decor to make the room feel warm, romantic, and elegant.
And as for her wedding gown, she wanted a fairytale ball gown that was also form fitting, so she had a custom overskirt made to wear for the ceremony. She worked very closely with the team at Sposa Mia, a coutoure bridal shop in McAllen, and the designer to make her dream dress and veil.
In the end Suzette said the gown turned out even better than she expected, and truly fit her personality! To make it even more special, one of her cousins gifted a piece of her late father’s pants to her that had a photo of Suzette and her dad printed on it. It was sewn in on the right side of the dress to signify that he was there by her side on her wedding day.
Wedding Day Advice from the Bride
Initially Suzette said she was beyond nervous before the ceremony, but once she reached the altar and Dominic saw & felt her hands shaking, he started cracking subtle jokes which helped her relax and soak in the moment!
One of the couple’s favorite parts of the day was being surrounded by family and friends during the surprise fireworks at the end of the evening!
And if these sweet clients could give any advice to couples getting ready to walk down the aisle, it would be “to not let the small mishaps stress you out because no one will notice. Things will go wrong but all that matters is that you are marrying the love of your life. Every little thing you worried about will go out the window once you are walking down the aisle and see your forever waiting for you at the end. Andddd…. if possible, hire a wedding planner LOL.”
Kind Words for The Collective
“Her team was so easy to work with. Their energy helped with my nerves because they were so laid back but fun to be around. I am not a fan of being in front of a camera but they made me feel comfortable and beautiful. Kelly and her team are amazing and talented. Every photo that I have seen so far are beyond beautiful and they capture the happiness on mine and Dominic’s face throughout the ceremony and reception. I will forever cherish these photos.”
Kind words like these mean the absolute world to us! We are so honored for each of our sweet clients who place their trust in us to capture amazing memories for them, and we would love the opportunity to do the same for you. We can’t wait to hear from you as soon as you’re ready to talk about your wedding photography needs! Start the conversation HERE.
