Lauren & Jared

Spectacular Fall Wedding at River Oaks Country Club

Lauren & Jared’s October 26, 2024 wedding at River Oaks Country Club can only be described as stunning.  This sweet couple gave full creative freedom to Lauren’s uncle, Scot Konitzer of Blooming Gallery, to create the design of their dreams, and worked with Rebecca Martens from Belle Events as their planner.

Lauren said they “wanted simple, timeless, and nothing that would be “in” today and “out” tomorrow. Lots of greens and whites, with pops of blush pink and darker fall colors”; a perfect palette for the late-October nuptials.  The space was absolutely perfect and, since the couple asked for most things to be kept a secret from them until the wedding day, they were truly surprised and blown away when they finally got to see their dream come to life in the ceremony & reception spaces!

What They Wore

“Lauren knew from a young age that she would end up picking the dress she did! She only tried on 3, and the second dress she tried ended up being the “one”. Lauren dreamt of having a bow on the back of her dress just like her mom did on her wedding dress 30+ years ago. She continued to play into the bow theme with her wedding shoes, an ivory pair of Loeffler Randall bow heels, and wore a layered veil by Toni Federici.  She kept her jewelry simple with a petite diamond cross necklace that Jared gave her 3 years ago, and pearl studs gifted to her by her Grandmother on her 16th birthday.

Jared’s tux was a classic black tux, with a special detail that he had them add. Knowing Lauren’s favorite color is pink, Jared has Suit Supply stitch their wedding date on the back of his jacket collar underneath the flap. Jared paired his tux with a classic pair of velvet loafers, and a black feather bow tie made by the Hutto’s family friend, Ties that Bind (Gina Hull). Jared’s studs and cufflinks were a gift from his bride and included black feathers with white polka dots. Jared topped his outfit off with a Rolex Explorer watch!”

Details of the Day

Lauren opted for a first look with her dad, and then one with her groom!  The beautiful staircase and the golf course at River Oaks Country Club were the perfect backdrops for these special moments.

The bride and groom kept with their simple, classic theme and chose a vanilla tiered wedding cake with minimal decorations and very clean lines.  In order to elevate the space and keep the design cohesive throughout, the team from Blooming Gallery designed AROUND the cake with gorgeous flowers, candles, and a canopy of fall flowers.

One sweet element of the day that we were thrilled to have a hand in, was the on-location luxury portrait studio, The Lounge!  Our team had so much fun working with Scot and Rebecca to find the perfect space for it, and create a design that perfectly complemented their already-amazing space.

Lauren & Jared’s Best Advice

For other engaged couples, Lauren says her best advice would be to remember that at the end of the day, you’re getting to marry your best friend, and not to get so wrapped up in the details that you lose sight of that!

Kind Words for KHP

“From the first moment we talked to Kelly on the phone, I knew her team was going to be our photographers. Kelly’s kindness, faith, and treatment of her team of photographers speaks volumes and we are so grateful that the Lord allowed our paths to cross. Kelly paired us with Aric and Glenna, and we truly could not have prayed for a better pairing! From our engagement photos, to Lauren’s bridals, to wedding day, Aric and Glenna brought so much joy and fun to all of our sessions and we couldn’t love them more!”

It was an absolute pleasure to work with this sweet bride and groom and their amazing families!
