Cannon Beach Elopement

I had the distinct privilege and absolute joy of getting to capture my sweet friend, and one of our very own KH Collective photographers, Ashley’s Cannon Beach elopement with her amazing fiancé (and now new husband), Clinton.  They even asked my husband Joe to officiate, so he’ll be making a guest appearance in this blog post as well!

Both parents and wanting their larger family wedding later in the year to be just that: a family ceremony with their kids highly involved, they opted for this sweet, private ceremony over Valentine’s Day weekend that was just for the two of them.  But don’t worry, the kids still got to celebrate via Face Time, while also enjoying some time with their grandparents!

Ashley said she chose the spot in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, even knowing it might be freezing cold in mid-February, because she wanted the beach to be totally secluded and to have it all to themselves.  When we flew in there was an ominous winter storm happening that threatened the whole weekend, but then the skies cleared and everything worked out perfectly.

We even got to shop for fresh flowers that our sweet bride then turned into the most beautiful bouquet!

On the day of the wedding they got to enjoy a slow morning reading and writing vows, and then getting ready together at the charming Arch Cape Inn & Retreat before heading to the beach for their intimate ceremony.

The beach did not disappoint and Haystack Rock showed off in the background while our sweet friends expressed their love to one another, prayed together, and sealed their commitment with a kiss, before heading off to play in the water for some amazing photos & memories that they will cherish forever.
