Cortland & Lewis
The Magic of a Christmas Wedding
Cortland & Lewis, and their amazing planner Emily Brasseaux of Belle Events, used the magic of the season and the beautiful decor to their full advantage to create their unforgettable Christmas wedding at Houston Country Club!
This sweet couple is family to some of our precious past clients, and we absolutely jumped at the chance to work with them when they inquired with us about being both their photographers and videographers for their big day.

An Enchanting Photo Gallery
Between the multitude of Christmas trees, twinkling lights, poinsettias, and the festive touches of milk & cookies, egg nog, and Christmas light necklaces at the reception, we were able to capture an endless array of the most beautiful photos!
Cortland “just wanted everything to be pretty and traditional – not overly christmassy, but pretty.” We’d say they achieved that flawlessly.
Cortland found her Vera Wang gown at Casa de Novia in Houston, and Lewish wore a Vincent Ford tux. They each gave each other something to wear that belonged to their grandparents, which added a truly special touch to the day. Cortland’s “jewelry was my late grandmothers pearl earrings and necklace, and he had his Nana’s handkerchief in his tux pocket for the ceremony. His ring is from my late grandpa Papa Rawlinson and it is engraved with my late grandparents’ initials and their wedding date, and we added our initials and wedding date as well.”
Advice for Other Engaged Couples
The bride said “Our theme was No Stress wedding and we stuck to that, so I wasn’t worried about a thing because even if something happened it didn’t really matter much!” It worked well because they had a private meal together in the wine room at Houston Country Club, and her favorite parts of the day were simply getting to dance continuously with her new groom, and have multiple small moments with him to take in everything about their day.
Kind Words for KHP
“Kelly is such a genuine person and so fun to work with getting photographed can be awkward but she made it feel so natural and fun!! Love her and her team!!”
