I could not describe the day any better than Amanda did herself…so here are her own words on a day Joe and I were so thankful to be a part of…a BEAUTIFUL wedding for an amazingly BEAUTIFUL couple:
“Our wedding day was just covered with the goodness of God. The sun was shining brighter than I ever remember, people were smiling bigger than I can remember, and I felt closer to my husband and the lord than ever before. I feel like it was a day of worship to the one who made it all possible and I couldn’t be more honored to have our special day be remembered as glorifying our Lord, who my Husband and I love more than anything”
Some of Amanda & Jess’ memories from the day:
Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?
A. Our favorite part of the wedding was getting to have all of our family and friends together in one place to celebrate with us. We feel so blessed to have such wonderful people surrounding us and it doesn’t get any better than having all of them together at one time.
Q. What was one quirky or crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?
A. Surprisingly, (and thankfully) everything went as smooth and planned out as it could have. There really wasn’t anything that didn’t necessarily go as planned other than small details like the color of the twigs in the centerpieces weren’t correct, or the band told people to line up at the buffet lines incorrectly! Things you would never even know!
Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?
A. The most special moment on my wedding day was spending time in prayer up at the alter with my husband. It felt like it was just me, the Lord, and my husband. There was nothing sweeter that day than hearing my husband pray over me as his new wife and his leadership over our family.
Q. What do you look forward to most about being married?
A. getting to spend the rest of my life with my best friend by my side and having someone to share all of life’s ups and down with. I love having someone that I know is always on my side, always on my team, and will always be my biggest fan.
Q. Where do you hope you will you be as a couple in five years?
A. My husband and I really hope to have expanded our sweet family in five years. Having children is both of our greatest desires and we hope that we are blessed with that in the future. We hope to continue to be living in College Station where we feel we are exactly where the Lord has placed us. We love our new home, our community, or precious new friends, our church, and all the new and exciting blessings that God has already started to reveal once we arrived. We hope to be growing, maturing, and developing our marriage to even greater levels of commitment, dedication, and intimacy. We hope in five years that we are even more in love with each other than ever before and know that it will continue to keep growing. We pray that in five years our marriage has brought us closer to one another, closer to God, and closer to living more and more in the image of Christ.
