Q. What’s the best thing that has happened to you as a couple since you’ve been married?

A. So many great things have happened to us this past year! Some of the most exciting are that Matt received a promotion at work in January, and Hannah graduated from college and started her first teaching job!

A. Matt loves to vacuum.. it’s hysterical! Who would have thought? Not me. He also turns the lights off when brushing his teeth.

Hannah claims to be allergic to hanging up clothes. She will barter with me saying that she will fold all the laundry ever washed if I will hang her clothes.

A. The furthest we have traveled this year is to Kauai, Hawaii on our honeymoon. We had such a blast and would go back every year if we could. We currently have a trip planned to go to Sonoma for our one year anniversary and can’t wait!

Q. What is the biggest piece of advice you can offer newly weds?

A. The first thing is to make your marriage a priority. It is great to have individual hobbies, but doing things together as a couple makes for fun memories and potential new hobbies that you can share together. Another thing is to go with the flow- no one said you were supposed to be experts. The last is to laugh… a lot.
