Moments. 100% of the day was all about little moments. Little glances. Little tears. Little smiles or big smiles.
Eric and Katie are two loved people. Incredible friends and family surrounded them in love and prayers.
Wendi and I were blessed to be a part of each of the beautiful moments throughout the entire day. It was truly awesome.
Some of Katie & Eric’s memories from the day:
Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?
A. My favorite part was all the people there to celebrate with us! I think we sent invitations to family and friends in 19 states! Most of them came!! (And enjoying the party we’d worked so hard to plan!)
Q. What was one quirky or crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?
A. Crazy: Nobody freaked out and everything seemed to work out flawlessly. Weird, I know.
Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?
A. Beside my burly dad being a puddle all day, it was incredible to walk down the aisle (to Brandon Heath’s Love Never Fails, sung and accompanied beautifully by a few friends) toward my handsome best friend, both of us sobbing of course. The moment was unforgettable.
Q. Did you do anything yourself you’re proud of?
A. My mother-in-law and I designed all of the flowers. My mom, sister, sister-in-law and aunts helped arrange all of them. My house party baked all the cupcakes (who doesn’t love Betty Crocker?!)
Q. What do you look forward to most about being married?
A. Having a buddy for life! I could not dream of a better best friend to share the rest of my life with than Eric
Q. Where do you hope you will you be as a couple in five years?
A. Sometimes I can’t even imagine where we’ll be in 6 months! But I guess I dream that in 5 years we’ll have at least one child and a home in Houston.
