Happy New Year

back to blog

silly meIs it even possible?  2013 is over and 2014 is begun and already in major full swing?  I can’t keep up.

The Christmas break was GLORIOUS for us.  Much rest was caught up on.  We spent so much time as a family and actually did not get sick of eachother.  I was not DYING for the kids to start school again.  In fact this AM was a little bittersweet in getting Jake back to kindergarten.

I am looking forward to my first full day tomorrow in the office.  All three boys will be back at school and LORD knows I need the time for catch up.

I’ve been able to do a ton of soul searching in this time off.  Not only are there amazing goals for this year, but really more than anything I was able to reflect on what I am doing with the time I am given and why I do what I do.  The first quarter of this year is wide open. At first I looked at that with fear and anxiety…then God spoke…rest in Me, learn about Me, re-focus on Me…the Provider of your business in the first place.

If you follow my blog you’ve heard me speak of me getting knocked over my head…quite a few times in this journey…even more lately than ever before.  So I’m taking those knocks, for once, and really evaluating them…really resting in them…really being still in them and allowing God to work on my heart through them.

Joe has helped us coin this year as our “consecration year”

Consecration: is the solemn dedication to a special purpose or service, usually religious. The word “consecration” literally means “to associate with the sacred”.

Simply this in our lives means that this year we get back to the basics.  We want to become dedicated and disciplined again.  To spend as much time with Him as possible…holy cow am I excited about that!!

Last year seemed like a year of survival.  Last year was a year we moved, we worked on our family and I was a hermit…just plugging away, trying to keep up and keep my head above the water with my business and really working out the kinks in my heart.

So now we press on.  Fresh and new.  Thank the Lord for fresh and new…His grace and forgiveness.

I have a lot of fun things coming up.  Cool projects.  New looks.  Fun collaborations with some new faces and some old.

I look forward to making this blog worth your while again.  To loving on my clients as well as I can.  To getting you all involved in the ministry.  To just all around having fun, being refined and living in His divine moments of consecration in my life.

Love to you all!  Happy New Year!  I cannot wait to see what all He has in store!
