This is going to be awesome…are you in?
When + Where: San Jose, Costa Rica
Where are we staying?
Together we get to house up at Hotel Milvia
A beautiful converted historic plantation house.
How do we get there?
The airport to fly into is San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO)
All flights need to be independently booked. Arriving on Thursday afternoon and departing again Sunday afternoon.
All transportation to and from the airport will be handled by Casa Viva. There will be American transportation once you arrive.
**also be sure and add in $29/person to pay the exit tax out of Costa Rica**
How much?
Exact mission trip cost is still being worked out, depending on how many people come, but budget for NO MORE than $700/person.
This covers the cost of meals/transportation/accommodations. It also helps with any material costs of our projects or staff needed to assist us.
All payments will be made by each of you directly to Casa Viva. This makes things so much easier on everyone involved!!
All meals will be provided by our amazing friends Phil/Jill…they will be incredible homecooked meals with local flare, not to mention AMAZING crepes that Jill is now famous for!
Schedule of events?
This is also still being worked out, but know that we have some awesome stuff planned from the moment you arrive Thursday. We will be serving all day Friday and Saturday…with a possible fun trip with the local foster families one of the days, to get to know Casa Viva and the families involved in the ministry.
Then Sunday will be left freed up to get people to flights…and I’m sure some amazing breakfast plans, if time allows.
Great fellowship and worship is being planned out throughout the entire weekend. It’s gonna be totally EPIC!
SO!! What’s next??
Right now flights are cheap…so we need to know an official “yes” or “no” by March 14th so that we can make our reservations and finalize official costs.
Pray about it. And then book your flights with us! We cannot wait to serve with you all! If you have felt any tug on your hearts then join us. Make it happen. Sacrifice. Be bold and follow your calling to serve the least of these.
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Matt. 25: 31-40
