Josie and Garrett’s spring wedding at The Post Oak Hotel in Houston was a chic and high-energy affair! After a Catholic wedding ceremony at St. John Vianney church, they partied the night away at The Post Oak Hotel with friends and family.

Located in central uptown Houston, The Post Oak Hotel was the perfect location for the elegant wedding the couple dreamed of. Josie and Garrett went with a classic wedding color palette of black and gold accents with white florals everywhere! White orchids and tulips covered the various tables along with candles to fill the room with a romantic glow. Seeing the reception ballroom for the first time was one of Josie and Garrett’s favorite wedding day moments and it’s easy to see why!

Wedding Day Advice

I loved the advice that Josie and Garrett’s shared for other couple’s planning their wedding. Josie said, “For those having a large wedding, Garrett and I made sure we were next to each other the entire reception! People may pull you in different directions, and it’s so important to stay together! The day is about you too! Looking back, we remember being together and dancing together a lot on the dance floor.”

It’s so easy to get caught up in conversations and with other people, during your wedding reception, so I loved that Josie and Garrett were intentional about sticking together!
