The Four Seasons Austin: An Iconic Texas Hill Country Wedding Venue
Alex & Mark entrusted their wedding day dreams to Barbara Shorts of Verve Events Austin, and she knocked it out of the park!
From the Texas-themed welcome gifts to the late night sliders, everything the couple envisioned came together flawlessly in this classic hill country wedding.
Details & Inspiration
Alex wanted a mostly neutral color palette for their late-August celebration, and stuck to “beige, whites, golds, blacks and tans with a little pop of color in the flowers”.
Some of her favorite details were the aisle runner (Pinterest inspo), the outside bar, the trees at the reception, and the flower center pieces. We couldn’t help but also fall in love with the custom stir sticks with their sweet Pup of Honor’s face on them, the elegant place settings, and the stunning array of candles that gave the entire ballroom a warm glow. Oh, and of course the light up cowboy hats, because everything’s more fun when those come out!
The Dress
This stunning bride looked absolutely radiant walking down the aisle in her Galia Lahav gown found at Roma Sposa Atelier, Valentino shoes, her mom and grandmother’s jewelry, and a Vancleef bracelet that was a wedding gift from her sweet groom.
During the reception she first donned white sneakers for dancing before changing into a short halter dress and white Tecovas cowboy boots to keep the party going!
Mark chose a custom tux, complemented by Louboutin shoes, Alex’s dad’s watch, a David Yurman bracelet that Alex gifted him the morning of the wedding, and David Yurman pearl cufflinks that were a surprise birthday gift from Alex’s parents.
The Reception
Guests were treated to music from Drywater Band and delicious chocolate and vanilla cake from the Four Seasons Austin, and a custom ice luge to keep the drinks flowing!
Thoughts from the Bride
When we asked Alex what her advice to engaged couples would be on their wedding days, she said “try to stop and just appreciate all the little moments and details.”
