Ask anyone who knows Brady or Jenny and they will tell you, without hesitation, that they are two of the coolest people you will ever meet. So, why wouldn’t they get married?!? Joe and I were sooooooooo stinkin’ blessed, probably more than ever, to be a part of Jenny and Brady’s families on the river bank this past Memorial Day. If you have kept up with the blog you know about how special Brady and his sweet daughter Chloe are…as well as now Jenny and her sweet kiddos Zeke & Kaelyn. And if you are new here…then pull up a chair and see both of their stories of God in their lives here.
They day’s sun shone beautifully through the trees. In attendance were a bunch of incredible families who were all now becoming one huge one through the marriage of Brady and his sweet Jenny. The two attended to their kids more than they primped themselves…they loved on each one of the guests that came more than they had time for eachother…to say that these two are some of the most selfless people I know is an understatement. It was beautiful to see Jenny walk in with both her “dads”. There was not a dry eye in the “house” when Jenny and Brady pinned ribbons of remembrance on eachother’s in-laws. Michael, their pastor, was meant to marry these two. No words could have been spoken better in those moments. A sand ceremony with all their kids was one of the finishing touches before Brady kissed his wife and walked her back down the aisle. It was perfect. Not one thing could have been done better. Joe and I were blessed by every moment…as was every single guest there.
Jenny has this verse stapled on her blog and I think it sums up everything beautifully:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”
(Philippians 4:6-7).
Some of Jenny’s memories from the day:
Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?
A. I loved the fact that it was small and with our closest family and friends. I really enjoyed the time I had to sit and visit with everyone.
Q. What was one quirky of crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?
A. Well, our food came an hour late…I don’t know how crazy or quirky that is but we were wondering for a while if anyone was going to get to eat.
Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?
A. My favorite part was the vows….it was so moving for me to hear Brady’s promises and share with him my own. That moment seemed to bring it all together for me personally.
