It was a hot morning in July…and everything was in bloom.
Lots of blue adorned the beautiful chapel and plantation of Ashelynn Manor.  Lots of smiles adorned all of Ben and Shannon’s friends and family’s faces.
The entrance music was angelic.
Shannon’s dad could not hold back tears while walking his daughter down the aisle, and Ben fought back emotions as she entered the room.
Claire and I were so honored to get to get to document it all and also get to add in all the prop styling.
It was such a fun morning amongst two incredibly sweet families that we felt a part of.
The ceremony was performed by Shannon’s adorable grandfather and the words spoken were beautiful and so perfect for them.
After the ceremony Ben could not take his eyes off of Shannon.  He was so giddy…it was so cute to see.
The reception held a beautiful first dance and some sweet toasts.
And to top it all off:
Lots of marriages have recently been created in the family, so they know how to NOT skimp on the get away…complete with sticky notes, glitter ALL OVER THE INSIDE of the car and A/C and car paint.
And to top off the day we got to do a double send off with the family tradition of rice throwing at Shannon’s parent’s home.
It was a beautiful wedding deep in tradition with so much love.

Some of Shannon & Ben’s memories from the day:

Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?

A. Getting to finally walk down the aisle and marry my best friend.

Q. What was one quirky of crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?
A. The music that was played during the ceremony was played off of my phone. The CD that I burned the songs to it didn’t work so all before the wedding my family was running around trying to figure out how to get the songs I wanted for the ceremony. Thankfully my new sister in law had a cord that could be used to connect my phone to the speakers. Thankful I wasn’t told until the reception.

Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?
A. The moment that the doors opened and I saw him at the end of the aisle I couldn’t have been any happier.
