Laura’s smile lights up a room

Stephen cannot help but smile when Laura is around.

To me that makes for the beginning of a beautiful marriage.

The day was BEAUTIFUL.  A perfect chill in the air.  Laura’s sweet dad walked down his little girl to the man of her dreams and the rest of the night made history.

Some of Laura & Stephen’s memories from the day:

Q. What was your favorite part about the wedding?

A. Laura: Having my HUGE family be involved in the wedding and just having them be there to support us and celebrate with us. We loved the dancing too.
Stephen: Our friends and family being there and getting to catch up with everyone we hadn’t seen in awhile.

Q. What was one quirky of crazy thing that happened on your wedding day?

A Laura/Stephen: Stephen went to drop off the dog at my parent’s house the day of the wedding and when he got there water was spilling out of the garage. Apparently, their water heater had busted and was spilling water. So stephen had to turn off the water at the house and then let my parents know.
Poor Dad!

Q. What was the most special moment on your wedding day?

A. Stephen: When my beautiful bride walked down to aisle to marry me.
Laura: Getting to marry Stephen! And I loved having my cousin come out of “retirement” to marry us.

Q.  Any special details you would like to tell us about?

A. My cousin sent us a book with 25 wedding ceremonies written by some well known pastors and told me to write our wedding ceremony and he would memorize it. So I actually read the whole book and went through and picked my favorite parts from some of the ceremonies to piece together ours. It was a lot of fun to read these amazing thoughts about Jesus and what he has in store for our lives as a married couple. I enjoyed getting to include things Stephen and I have learned about marriage and God’s plan for us in our ceremony to make it ours.

Q. Where will you be as a couple in five years? Hopes, dreams, kids, etc.?

A. Laura: Hopefully we will have another dog to play with our sweet Winston and maybe a kid on the way 🙂 I’m sure the Lord has incredible things in store for us that I can’t even imagine.
Stephen: We will have won the lottery and I’ll be retired.

Q. What do you look forward to the most about being married?

A. Laura: Getting to spend every night with Stephen and wake up to him the next morning. (More like him throwing me out of bed so I get up!). Setting up a home with him where we are both comfortable and love to spend time in.
Stephen: Getting to spend more time with Laura.
