Party en el baño.

I’m a firm believer in the fact that your home should have little perks of personality…little unexpected extras, even if you are an all white lover.  So, the 1/2 bath was the first place, when we moved in, that I started to play.  As you can see, I love me some white walls, but I also LOVE some contrast every once in while.  The guest bath should be fun, unexpected and a good conversation starter…and ours is just that.  I mean everyone that comes into your home WILL use the bathroom…that’s why we all try and be fun and put silly books and funny reads to entertain our guests.

So for our guestbath I painted the walls flat DARK blue.  Then added pops of white in the accents to brighten it up a tad.

I even used the same color, but in a gloss for the cabinet.  (which is what the below before and after shows)

before and after

Wall/Ceiling/door color: Behr home paint (raven blue)

Cabinet pull: Anthropologie

Above you can see I even painted the outlets, vent covers and the switches.  No one wants a dark room and white eyesores.

Always paint your covers!door details

And finally just some paint on the exterior of the door in a black semi-gloss and some fun decal letters…and look at that perfect conversation starter from EVERYONE who comes into our home…TRUST ME everyone eats it up!  (not to mention the lifesize knight when you walk into our front door)

Knight: Marshalls – homegoods

Decals: Dali Decals
