Lauren & Richard
A highlight of my 2021 spring season was Lauren & Richard’s Omni Barton Creek Wedding in Austin TX! In celebration of their one year anniversary on March 13th, I’m sharing their beautiful wedding! Their wedding day was timeless with classic French blue colors and lots of white flowers and greenery throughout. They had an outdoor ceremony and exchanged vows with views of the hill country in the background.
Omni Barton Creek Wedding Austin TX
In typical March fashion it turned out to be a windy wedding day at Omni Barton Creek! Everyone was caught by surprise when Lauren’s veil flew into a tree in front of the ceremony! Despite the surprise of losing her veil, Lauren went with the flow. Lauren remembers, “It was distracting for a bit but I was finally able to concentrate on what Jeff was saying and let that go. The ceremony was the most IMPORTANT part of the day for me. I wanted to soak in all the words and prayers and big moments that happened as we got married in front of our family and closest friends.”
For their reception, Lauren & Richard’s first dance took place on their striped French blue and white dance floors. Guests ordered speciality cocktails at a white bar with a French blue and white design of florals and butterflies. They had three different wedding cocktails: an old fashioned, the “Mia Rita” named after their pup, and a vodka drink the “Johny Daly”. As the night went on, light up glasses, headbands, and cowboy hats lit up the dance floor. To end the night they shared one final dance on a dance floor all to themselves. Beneath the bright showers of cold sparklers, they made their grand wedding exit!
I so loved being a part of this couple’s Austin wedding at the Omni Barton Creek! Happy Anniversary Lauren & Richard!
Wedding Advice from the Couple
Lauren’s advice to couples’ planning their wedding is something every couple needs to hear:
“Enjoy the ride and don’t get caught up in the little things. Don’t forget to date your fiancé throughout the process and remember WHY you are doing this in the first place. I felt like I got lost in that a little bit and Richard was good at reminding me of the reason we were having this wedding. Also, get great vendors you LOVE (like Kelly!). It is SO important. I didn’t realize how close I was going to get to everyone. It is a special relationship for sure and I am so thankful for my wedding vendor team!”
The KHP Experience
Lauren shared some insight into her experience working with me! Here’s what she had to say about the KHP Experience:
“I love how AUTHENTIC you are. I connect well to people so naturally and I think that is so important with a photographer because it is intimate. You took the time to get to know us and that shows in the moments you captured of us. You have such a fun personality and I could not be more pleased I booked you. The pictures so far have turned out AMAZING! You have a gift! I would 1,000% recommend you to anyone! Thank you for being apart of this important season of my life. You are a blessing!” -Lauren
