satan sucks

The past 48 hours in our house have been interesting, to say the least.  First off, I tried way too hard to do it all.  Schedule as many shoots as I could, celebrate Joe’s birthday, plan a fun date night, have fun with the minions…and it in turn took a toll on us.  I really think God allowed Satan to work in our lives this weekend and show us a lot about what we need right now.
Brock got croup Saturday night. Jake got a stomach virus.
We dealt with the aftermath of cranky kids and such all day on Sunday…AND…I had a bunch of shoots scheduled.  Claire totally covered like a champ and I was able to shift some things around and get down there to help cover all the shoots with some awesome peeps, and even got some much needed Kelly/Claire time afterwards.
Then…Sunday Joe and I got whatever Brock had.
And all the minions were feeling good again.
NOT AT ALL fun when the little guys are feeling good and the parents feel like death.
NOT AT ALL FUN!

So, after lots of forced rest, and helping eachother out, we are feeling better again and got the kids up this morning to find a leaking “something” in our laundry room ceiling and an SUV that did not start AFTER all the kids were loaded up and ready to go.  So, thankfully we have another working car, and all three car seats can actually fit, so they ARE at school, and we are now dealing with the aftermath of leaking pipes or something in our ceiling…and a car that actually did start up again, after we had left, but we probably should get that one check out, ehh?

So, needless to say NOTHING has gotten done around here for KHP.  Once we were finally getting caught up we only got knocked back down…but I guess that’s life.  And I am thankful for those lessons, as much as I HATE them.  If life was good all the time we would never appreciate it.

Please bear with us.  We will get back on track soon.  We are so thankful for you all and your forgiving generosity.
That makes us want to work even harder for you.  Today and tomorrow will be catch up days.

But I wanted to end on a high note and a shout out to the awesome October giveaway winner:  It was close and all y’all votes were awesome…but…the winner is:

XOXO
