Tara and Tanner’s Scottsdale Wedding at El Chorro was a complete desert wedding dream with incredible florals, an outdoor ceremony and reception, and the cutest beer burro.
This American couple lives in London and brought their friends and family together for a weekend in Scottsdale, Arizona. Both Tara and Tanner have loose ties to Arizona. Tara lived there for a few years in elementary school and Tanner’s parents retired there. With so many guests traveling to Scottsdale for their wedding, they created an entire weekend experience that felt true to Arizona. Their smaller guest count of 50 allowed them to soak in their Scottsdale weekend and spend quality time with their loved ones.
Scottsdale Wedding at El Chorro
El Chorro is a Scottsdale wedding venue with the iconic Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. Tara and Tanner chose El Chorro because it felt like the perfect outdoor venue with the stunning desert landscape, Southwest architecture, incredible food, and ideal weather.
Tara and Tanner’s outdoor wedding ceremony took place in the luscious Herb Garden which features a beautiful lawn, cactuses, and climbing pink bougainvillea. Tanner’s parents were flower farmers and took charge of the florals. Their floral designs blew everyone away, especially Tara who said it was beyond her Pinterest dreams.
During cocktail hour guests made their way over to the Bocce Lawn where they were greeted by the sweetest “Beer Burro” with drinks packed and ready to go! Tara and Tanner spent their evening dancing and hanging out with their guests beneath a warm glow of market lights and the Arizona night sky.
Scottsdale Wedding Experience
Reflecting back on their wedding weekend, Tara says,
“It was such a blessing to get to be with our family and friends (especially after many months of not being sure if our wedding would happen, given the international pandemic planning)! It turned out to be the BEST day and week ever! I am so thankful for my parent’s support and encouragement and generosity in pulling off the wedding flawlessly! And we’re so thankful for the friends and extended family who made the trip to AZ to celebrate with us.”
I’m beyond grateful to travel to Scottsdale to photograph Tara and Tanner’s perfect wedding at El Chorro! I love these two so much and am sending them hugs as they celebrated one-year anniversary earlier this year!
