Avery and Austin had an elegant April Wedding at Lakeside Country Club, in Houston TX. A wedding day that felt timeless and classic in every way was what Avery dreamed of, and their day far exceeded expectations!
Wedding at Lakeside Country Club in Houston
Avery and Austin both graduated from the University of Texas, but didn’t meet until 2017. Two years later, Austin proposed on a family trip to Tuscany. Before their wedding day, I got to know this sweet couple during their engagement photos and spent extra time with Avery during her bridals. They’re the best!
Their wedding day started at the Lakeside Country Club for getting ready and pre-ceremony portraits. Avery and Austin had their first look on the Lakeside Country Club patio and then opened their wedding gifts together. I love that they chose to open their gifts in front of each other and got to share that moment together. Their wedding ceremony took place a few minutes down the road at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.

After the ceremony, everyone returned to Lakeside for their wedding reception. The reception decor featured pink florals with an incredible ceiling installation of over 1,200 pink tulips. It was stunning! Walking into the reception space felt like entering a spring garden party with blue ginger vases and pink florals and greenery decorating the tables. During cocktail hour guests sipped on the couple’s specialty cocktails of a “Radley Rita” named after their dog and a classic Texas Mule.
Avery did an outfit change for the reception that was absolutely fabulous and full of fun textures! She took off the overskirt from her wedding dress and put on an embellished shrug from Romona Keveza. She slipped into a pair of Loeffler Randall sandals and changed her hair into a high ponytail. Feather embellished earrings completed her reception look. Perfection!
The Drywater Band kept the couple and their guests on the dance floor all night long! When the night came to a close Avery and Austin shared a private last dance together before their grand exit. They waved goodbye to their guests and drove off between a row of fireworks. It was such an honor to be a part of Avery and Austin’s wedding at Lakeside Country Club! Wishing them a happy first anniversary on April 24th!
