Chloe & Johannes
Stunning and breathtaking are the words Chloe and Johannes used to describe the photos from their fall wedding at the Austin Country Club. Glenna and Aric of my associate team, the KHP Collective, photographed their engagements and wedding day! Unlike their rainy engagement session at the same venue, the day of their wedding at the Austin Country Club was a bright, sunny day!
Sentimental Wedding Details
Sentimental meaning was interwoven throughout several of their wedding details. Chloe’s mother passed away shortly after they got engaged in December 2022, so they found ways to honor her throughout their wedding. Her presence was felt by all, but especially by Chloe and Johannes. Overall, they kept the colors of their wedding details simple with classic colors of white, champagne, and pops of blue in honor of Chloe’s mother (it was her favorite color).
Chloe and her mother had gone dress shopping together before her passing and found THE dress! Chloe kept her dress a secret from everyone since it was an important wedding detail her mom was present for. On the day of the wedding, Chloe did a dress reveal to her bridesmaids which was so special for everyone to finally see the dress! Her dress was made up of the main dress and then a sheer coat that had flirty sleeves and a long train! She carried a bouquet of white orchids and had a few orchid blooms in her hair.
Chloe’s jewelry was another way she incorporated her mother into her wedding day. She wore her mother’s pearl necklace and earrings. Chloe’s engagement ring was also her mother’s and was passed on to her when Johannes proposed. The gold wedding band that Johannes got Chloe also has a sapphire which symbolizes her mother.
For the reception, Johannes changed into a white dinner jacket and Chloe wore a custom white jumpsuit. Chloe’s mother was a lawyer and always wore the coolest blazers, pant suits, and jumpsuits, so the jumpsuit was inspired by her mother’s career and style!
Austin Country Club Wedding
Before their ceremony, Chloe and Johannes did a first look at the venue. The first look ended up being Chloe’s favorite part of the day. They were both so giddy and excited to see each other! We did portraits around the property before their outdoor ceremony.
Chloe and Johannes met at the University of Alabama where they both went to college. The groom’s cake was a massive replica of the football stadium and the red and white streamers guests used for their grand exit were in honor of their alma mater. Their live band, The Night Owls, kept the energy high and the dance floor full up until their grand exit! As guests cheered and waved red and white streamers, they made their exit to the getaway car!
The KHP Collective Experience
This is what Chloe shared about their experience working with the KHP Collective team:
“Working with both Glenna and Aric was absolutely AMAZING. Johannes and I could not stop saying how much we have loved getting to work with them and that we want to stay connected with them for the future! . . . The love and encouragement helped both Johannes and I be confident during the big day!!”
From their engagement session through their wedding day, it was an honor to document Chloe and Johannes!
