Saying “I Do” in Deer Valley, Utah

Around here we think the only thing better than just being in the mountains, is going to a wedding in the mountains! When sweet Libby and Jack came to us after we had the privilege of shooting some of their friends’ weddings, we were so honored, and thrilled to be able to join them for their destination wedding at The St. Regis Deer Valley in Utah.

Planning a destination wedding is no easy task, but Chelsea Reed and the rest of the Belle Events team truly brought this entire weekend to life. Libby told us she was inspired by a love for “the natural beauty of the mountains! I wanted to play off the bright blues and greens in Utah!”, and her planning team took that vision and created something truly elegant and special.

Favorite Details & Moments

Libby narrowed down a few of her favorite things for us (it wasn’t easy), and said that one of her very favorite details was all of the paper goods, including the stunning invitation suite by Carley Creative Co.

As far as the overarching parts of the day or weekend that she loved most, the wedding ceremony with that stunning mountain backdrop was her number one. And she also treasured the time with friends both at the welcome party, and on Saturday night at the reception, dancing the night away with family, friends, and her new husband!

The Dress

Our gorgeous bride chose an Oscar de la Renta gown from Casa de Novia bridal salon in Houston. She said it, “felt classic but also fun – I thought it was perfect for a mountain wedding.”

The bubble exit may have been the most fairytale, magical ending to a wedding that we’ve seen in a long time, and was the most perfect way to wrap up this exquisite weekend in Deer Valley!
