Rain may have kept everyone inside for Mary Margaret and Tripp’s November wedding at The Briar Club in Houston, but it didn’t keep them from having an incredible wedding day! My photography team, The KHP Collective, photographed their wedding and they did an outstanding job!
Wedding Ceremony at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church
Mary Margaret and Tripp had a traditional wedding ceremony at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. The inside of this church is stunning, so we did wedding party photos and family photos here too. After the ceremony, everyone headed off to The Briar Club for dinner and the reception.
Colorful Wedding Reception at The Briar Club
Looking back on their reception, they loved everything about it! When planning their wedding reception look, Mary Margaret knew she wanted it to be colorful and it sure was! They incorporated orange, purple, and darker shades of vibrant colors to stay on theme with their fall wedding date. A favorite reception detail was their checkerboard dance floor! Using the mauve color from their Save the Date liners, they matched it to create the two-toned dance floor!
The Manhattan Band kept the energy high and the dance floor full, especially as the props came out! Dancing with their friends and family was one of the couple’s favorite parts of their wedding day. Mary Margaret and Tripp love a crispy McDonald’s hash brown every now and then, so they served it as a late night bite! The McDonald’s hashbrowns were in a traditional white sleeve with the McDonald’s arches and M & T stickers on it. They were a hit!
As the night came to a close, colorful streamers covered the dance floor while everyone danced to the last songs. Mary Margaret and Tripp shared a private last dance together on the streamer covered dance floor before making their exit. Guests showered them with flower petals as they made their way to their getaway golf cart and sped away!
