Bailey’s bridals are one of the most unique bridal sessions I’ve photographed and I’m just as obsessed with the photos as I am with this sweet bride. We took Bailey’s bridal photos at the home of Bailey’s parents which was also their wedding venue!
Bridals Photos at Parent’s Home
Her parent’s home is full of beautiful spaces and decor that reflects Bailey’s Japanese heritage. As a photographer, I enjoyed the challenge of figuring out which rooms to photograph in and the opportunity to play with the different light coming into the house. It was fun to see Bailey in her dress and to imagine what their upcoming wedding could look like in the same house. Of course their wedding was even more mind blowing than I dreamed of!
Benefits of Bridal Photos
Bailey’s long sleeve wedding dress was designed by Romona Keveza and was the perfect look for a February wedding. Bailey went with a classic updo and bouquet of small white blooms. Both her bridal looks remained as her wedding day choices.
I’m always telling brides that a huge benefit of bridal portraits is using the session as a trial run for your wedding day hair, makeup, bouquet, and especially your dress! It’s a different experience to wear your dress beyond the bridal salon and to move around and pose in it. Your wedding dress will get a bit more wear outside the wedding day and you’ll have beautiful bridal photos to show off too! Bridal portraits are the perfect opportunity to do any troubleshooting and to make any changes to your look before the big day.
The Wedding Day
If you’re loving these bridal photos, then Bailey and Tanner’s wedding day is one you don’t want to skip! Their wedding in Bailey’s parent’s home had a breathtaking ceiling full of white Japanese paper cranes hanging over the aisle and was full of black and white modern decor. You can see their full wedding day on the blog here!
Houston Bridal Photography
The Creative Chateau in Houston is one of my favorite locations for bridal portraits! Get inspired from Josie’s bridal session at the Chateau on the blog here!
