Downtown Chicago Engagement Session

For Haley and Nicky’s engagement session, I flew out to Chicago to photograph them in the city they currently call home. We walked around their neighborhood and took engagement photos in spots with iconic views of the Chicago skyline.

Chicago Engagement Session

We started their Chicago engagement session in their apartment with their sweet pup! They had a glass of wine and played cards to ease into photos before we headed out.

Next, we walked all around the Lincoln Park area which is massive. The park has beautiful trees along different ponds and gorgeous views of the buildings in downtown Chicago. Then we made our way to the path along Lake Michigan that has even more views of the downtown Chicago skyline.

Same Photographer for Engagements & Wedding Day

I always tell potential clients that no matter who you hire as your photographer, use that same person for all your sessions and your wedding day! The relationship between couple and photographer needs to start early. It’s vital! I’ve been honored by so many of my couples trusting me with that thought and it truly makes the overall experience so much better!

Several couples have brought me out to photograph them in the special place they live. To name a few, in 2023 I’ve been to NYC, Aspen, Nashville, Florida, and Chicago to meet up with couples for their engagement photos. We get to explore places that are special to them all while documenting their love and this sweet season in their lives. It’s always so fun for me!

I loved getting to know Haley and Nicky and letting them show off their favorite parts of Chicago to me! Chicago is not a forever place for these two, but it’s special place to photograph them during this season of their lives. I know one day their engagement photos in Chicago will be fun to reminisce on!
