Houston Engagement Photos at the Menil Collection

Juliette and Anthony’s engagement photos at the Menil Collection started with a glass of wine at a favorite local bar. After a drink, the Menil Collection was the next destination. My photography team, The KHP Collective, photographed Juliette and Anthony’s engagement session and will photograph their wedding later this year!

Juliette and Anthony met back in 2018 at a bar, and met again in 2020 on Hinge. They soon started dating after connecting on the app. On a walk in the Houston Heights, Anthony proposed and now they’re planning a wedding this fall!

Juliette and Anthony were so much fun to photograph. As you’ll see in their photos they kept each other laughing the entire time!

About Engagement Photos at the Menil Collection

The Menil Collection is a favorite art museum in Houston that has buildings with indoor art exhibits and art installations outside on the campus. Juliette and Anthony love the Menil and this area of Houston, so it was fitting for their engagement photos to be here.

The outdoor area surrounding the Menil Collection is beautiful with buildings for a clean background and lots of trees and greenery. A swing hanging in one of the massive trees was a hit with Juliette and Anthony!

Grabbing a Drink During Engagement Session

If grabbing a cocktail to start or end your engagement session sounds fitting, plan it! It’s a great way to incorporate a special date night location or a go-to spot from your relationship into your engagement photos. It helps the location of your engagement photos have a personal connection beyond simply being a pretty spot.

Plus, getting a drink might help loosen up any pre-engagement photo nerves! In Juliette and Anthony’s case we started at a favorite local bar. Sometimes it works out better to end the engagement session with a drink. Maybe that’s popping a bottle of champagne or heading to a favorite bar spot! Either way, it’s an idea to chat with your photographer about!

Juliette and Anthony are getting married this October at the Brennans and we are so excited to be there to capture it!
